Every Night, Every Morning

by Noise Pollution

Walking underwater
See a hand outstretched
To me, I take it
It pulls my head above
The water
And then she breathes for me
But I know it’s just a dream

Hear her laugh, her face
Is clear then muddy
Like the notebook sketches
Like my room’s big messes
Like educated guesses
At what she thinks of me
But I know it’s just a dream

It was a feeling I will soon forget
When the water’s on, and my alarm resets
It was just another glimpse
Of you and I

I want to die
